Urban, architectural, and landscape photography

Finding my style

My Opa gave me my first camera when I was a young boy, and from there I was hooked.

He was a keen photographer, sharing his talents by creating cards with his photos. He stuck them onto strong, white card, and wrote a message in blue ink. A hand-made card always felt special and he had an eye for a good photo.

I’m sometimes asked what do I like to photograph the most? Architecture wins every time. I love finding angles, lines, and perspectives that draw the eye in, and I know that’s influenced by this one particular photo. It’s taken by Opa and I love the layers, as well as the mix of modern architecture and old.

Whether it’s a city shot or a countryside landscape, my aim is to capture something that makes you want to look twice.

‘The Barbs’ as I affectionately call it. It was love at first sight with this Brutalist masterpiece.

London - Bloomsbury

Between 2012 and 2020, I lived in a basement flat just off Russell Square. Bloomsbury will always be home in some sense, and there so many hidden gems to share.
